Kitchen Curtains, Finished Ball album, and New Stamp

I am sorry it has been a couple of weeks since my last entry, been a bit crazy here, but here I am now so let's just jump right it.

Firstly I just have to share with you my new curtains that I got for my kitchen.  I did have a bamboo blind for years but what I really wanted was cafe curtains and after a frantic clean my hubby took me out and we bought these lovely printed, ready made cafe curtains and I just love them.  I am looking forward to see how they go in summer seeing as they are not net curtains (which I thought I would want but I feel in love with these printed ones)

I have had them up for a couple of weeks now and really love them.

Ok I have been working on Grace's 2012 School Ball album lately and finally over the weekend, thanks to my scrapbooking workshop, I was able to get it finished.  I am really pleased with the results and Grace loves it too.  All that needs to be done now is some journaling and adding of some names of her school mates.  So here are just some of the pages from the album.

It was fun really having just all the pieces and just putting it all together.  Grace had chosen the papers and embellishments she wanted and we went through and she chose where all the photos were going to go.  I even created some fold out pages for some of the extra photos we wanted to include.  All that I want to do now is add an envelop at the back to put the ticket in.  It feels really great to have a project completed.

Lastly I just had some new stamps arrive this morning and just had to have a play with one of them so made a quick card this morning.  My other daughter Melissa loves owls so this is for her.
I do not have a punch for branches so I just traced and cut my own.  I added some little pink pearls for flowers buds.  I really like how this has come together.

Quick Catch Up

Oh my goodness what a crazy week.  We had an awesome workshop last Saturday night and class on the Sunday afternoon.  So much was done, learnt and inspired.  Here is a quick project I did using my Spectrum Noir pens and a little bit of Distress Ink.
I just love how this card turned out.  This little duckie is from the Popcorn Bear Father's Day stamp set.

So that was the start of my week.  Also during the week I had a fun class using the Martha Stewart Crafter's Clay.  This is a really fun product to use.  I was able to show the attendees how to blend their colours for their clay, to use the molds and even how to create a free form rose.  Here is how mine turned out ...
I was amazed how real it looks.  This clay is so easy to use and can be painted, glittered or even inked where needed.

Then for the rest of the week I have been really busy helping get the girls ready and ferrying them to and from school for their school production 'Arabian Nights'.

Both girls have been in rehearsals for the show for the past 12 weeks or so.  Grace is a dancer and Melissa is one of the harem girls.  I went to the show last night with my Mum and really enjoyed myself.  The kids all did a marvellous job.
I am looking forward to going with the rest of the family tomorrow night for the last performance.  I know it will be amazing again.
